APOCALYPTIC SOCIETY is an up-and-coming death metal band based in Hershey, PA. Formed in 2015 by vocalist Michael Beers, the band has firmly established themselves in the Central PA metal scene. Now, they are seeking to infect the masses with the release of their debut album, Instinctual Self-Slaughter, releasing September 5th.

THE APOCALYPTIC SOUND is a unique blend developed from the diverse influences of the band members. Dueling harmonic guitar leads, wide-ranging growls, odd-time grooves, and explosive bass lines are just some of the traits that define the sound of Instinctual Self-Slaughter. Taking inspiration from the intricate stylings of Death, to the iconic songwriting methods of Metallica, to the guttural progressive brutality of Necrophagist, Apocalyptic Society seeks to continue pushing the boundaries of death metal and its public appeal.

SHARING THE STAGE with national acts like Incantation, Dying Fetus, Sadistic Vision, Hellwitch, and more, Apocalyptic Society’s live shows are a true spectacle of sonic intensity, powerful energy, and frenzied moshing. They seek to engage and captivate fans at every opportunity, always bringing one-hundred percent dedication and devotion to every single live show.

OPERATING INDEPENDENTLY, the band designs their own flyers and merchandise, run their own grassroots marketing campaigns, and distribute their music through their own channels. Coming from humble beginnings, the band has devoted all of their time and energy into building their loyal fan base and cultivating a community of friends, metalheads, and unsuspecting fast food patrons.
